These are photos taken in the early days of the construction of our campus and sent to us by a former member of the congregation who moved away many years ago. Thankfully he decided to mail them to us when he found them rather than simply throw them away.

CCOV UCC has chosen Foster Your Future as the primary Outreach Mission for 2026. Cooking classes are conducted monthly for 4 young adults that have aged out of the foster care system. Volunteers from our church together with Ginny Paulsen the founder of Foster Your Future and Jennifer Doran-Pena teach tips on grocery shopping to save money such as using coupons, not shopping when hungry and creating a list. We teach basic cooking techniques, items to have on hand and quick no recipe meals. Healthy eating alternatives are also reviewed. The young adults complete two recipes and we all enjoy the meal together in fellowship. Each young adult leaves with a host of spices, cooking tools and equipment including a crock pot, large skillet with a lid, large cooking pot with a lid and a $50 gift card to their supermarket of choice, a CCOV cookbook called “Bountiful Harvest” and a signed Bible.
