We always need seven or eight individuals to serve dinner at this monthly United Methodist Outreach Ministry (UMOM) event.
Families with teenagers 14 years old or older are welcome to join us. We always receive more than we give when we go and it provides us with an opportunity to demonstrate and practice our Christian faith. We leave CCOV at 4PM and are usually back around 7:30 PM.
Plan to meet at CCOV and then carpool to Halle Women’s Center, 3424 East Van Buren.
Born thirty miles from the Canadian border in Halma, Minnesota, Dian D’Avanzo began studying the piano at age three, violin at age ten, and harp at age twelve. Eventually choosing to concentrate on the violin, she earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Minnesota and Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory in Boston. Bring your favorite main dish, salad or dessert to share. Crockpots can be plugged in before the service or you can use the oven or microwave. And there is plenty of space in the refrigerator for cold items.
