Sunday, October 7 – Guest Soloist – Please join us on October 7 to help welcome our first guest soloist of the season, Grant Johnson. Grant started on violin at the age of four. He is currently Assistant Librarian with the Phoenix Symphony. With them, he has also appeared as a substitute violinist. A Minnesota native, he studied music at the University of Minnesota where he was concertmaster for multiple orchestras. Grant has worked in the orchestra libraries of the Minnesota Orchestra, St Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Bach Ensemble, Aspen Music Festival, and more. He also plays piano and organ, and has appeared as a featured performer for the American Guild of Organists.
Larry and Grant will be presenting a program of Baroque music, including works by Corelli, Purcell, and Dowland.


Dorie Roepke grew up close to the Dragoon Mountains where the Cochise Stronghold existed.
He is member of the active chamber group Mill Avenue Chamber Players. Before Arizona Nikolaus attended the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, where he received his Bachelor’s degree.
Internationally acclaimed soloist Katarzyna Honsberger will join us for Easter this year. Kat has performed frequently with the Phoenix Opera including their productions of Aida, Carmen, Madama Butterfly, Die Zauberflote, and La Traviata. Anyone that has been captivated by her incredible voice will realize how truly memorable this service will be. While Kat’s bio lists mainly her opera accomplishments, she also performs a wide spectrum of music from the Broadway musicals of Cole Porter to the theater compositions of Jerome Kern along with an opera aria and mesmerizing vocal and piano duets.
