Worship Matters

Friends,

I hope you all enjoyed the rain and cooling trend as we move into the best time of the year!  Here’s a little update on the on-line media we offer: Since one person responded after my last newsletter article that he enjoys the option to watch our sermons on-line weeks he cannot attend worship, we have decided to continue emailing out links to the services Dick and I lead at the Church of the Beatitudes UCC.  Each Sunday they live-stream their services on Facebook, and a video recording is preserved.  We preach the same sermons there as we would at CCOV, though in a slightly different order.  So as long as Dick and I continue serving at the Beatitudes, you will have links to the worship we lead at our sister church.  Once our time there comes to an end, a generous donor plans to install a camera in our sanctuary so that we can easily record our Sunday services as they happen.  We can then email out those links early each week.

One other item I have is that we want to resurrect our choir plus gather other interested singers for just one anthem, Break the Bread, Pour the Wine by Pamela Stewart and Mark Hayes, to make our December 6 Advent communion extra special.  Larry and I ask that all interested singers attend practice at 9 AM on Sunday, Nov. 29 and again at 9 AM on December 6, before we sing the anthem.  This piece has been especially beloved at CCOV.  All are welcome to join in!

Enjoy this beautiful season!
