We are again proud to announce the next concert in the Extraordinary Evening of Music series has been scheduled for Saturday, April 2 at 7:00pm with Phoenix Symphony musicians Dimitri Lazarescu (violin), Jan Simiz (cello), and Larry Loeber (piano). The program will feature music by Rachmaninov, Enescu, and Bloch, some Romanian gypsy tunes, and the Trio in E Minor by Shostakovich, a substantial four-movement work that displays the full range of Shostakovich’s artistry and emotional intensity. The Trio has been described as a bleak but deeply moving interpretation of the reality of the annihilation of Jews in the Nazi concentration camps and the wretched history of anti-Semitic persecution in the Soviet Union. We hope that you will be as excited about unique concert opportunity as we are.
Presale tickets may be purchased online for just $20 at http://eeom6.eventbrite.com or by calling 480-451-4565. Tickets will also be available at the door for $25. The concert is being presented at the Congregational Church of the Valley, 12001 E Shea Boulevard, Scottsdale. We look forward to having you join us for another memorable evening enjoying the talents of these uniquely gifted artists. And as always, we appreciate your continued support.
