Summer Schedule begins on June 4th

We will hold our last worship service of the spring on Sunday, May 28th.  Beginning in June those who can attend will meet in Hayden Hall for brief worship, prayer and fellowship.  Casual pot-luck goodies are welcome but not necessary.  Because of our limited numbers during the summer months this will be our summer plan.  We welcome all who can attend!

Our Easter Music Program

John Good, a CCOV favorite, will return to help us celebrate Easter this year. John is not only a Celtic instrument specialist, but also a great story teller. His unique style and personality enhance the beauty and charm of the music of his native Wales.

Upcoming Guest Musician – Feb 19th

Christopher McKay, Acting Assistant Principal Viola with the Phoenix Symphony, will be joining us for worship on February 19th. He has degrees from Louisiana State University and Indiana University, and served as Principal Viola with the Evansville, Indiana Philharmonic. His summer engagements have included fellowships at Tanglewood Music Center and the Spoleto Festival USA. He will join with Larry in a program of classical selections for viola and piano.

CCOV’s ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING – January 22, following worship

The purpose of this important meeting of the congregation is as follows:

  • To hear the report of the Church Council and staff;
  • To elect officers and vote on the slate of candidates for officers and boards;
  • To act upon the budget and to appropriate funds for necessary expenditures during the upcoming year;
  • To take any action that may properly come before the meeting.

Your presence and participation are encouraged and needed. All church members and associate members are reminded that they are eligible to vote on all matters that come before this meeting.

Upcoming Guest Musician – January 8 @ 10 AM

John Good has been a frequent visitor to CCOV over the past few years, and we look forward to hearing him play music from his homeland of Wales on his complement of Welsh folk instruments, including the bagpipes. If you’ve heard him play before, you know how much fun he is, so this is a great time to invite your friends to a service.
