Stephen Hartman, Guest Musician October 1st

Stephen Hartman served as principal harpist to the Elgin Symphony from 1988 to 2013, and performed with most of the major ensembles in the Chicago area. At the Ravinia Festival he has worked with Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, and Stephen Sondheim, and has played in national tours with Johnny Mathis. Tuesday, September 26th, at 4PM, UMOM visit

We always welcome and need 7-8 individuals to serve dinner at this United Methodist Outreach Ministry (UMOM) event (Serving dinner to the homeless).

Families are welcome with teenagers 14 years old or older. We always have fun when we go. There are many learning and teaching opportunities after being at UMOM. We leave CCOV at 4PM and are usually back around 7:30 PM.

This is your invitation to live and love as our faith calls us to do.

Plan to meet at CCOV and then carpool to Halle Women’s Center, 3424 East Van Buren.

Contact: Janet at 480-391-3905 with questions.

Return to Regular Worship

We will return to our regular worship schedule on Sunday, September 10th. Join us at 10am in our sanctuary for a meaningful and thoughtful spiritual experience.

We will be continuing our practice of fellowship and discussion in Hayden Hall on Sunday morning until the 10th.

Remember, wherever you are on life’s journey you are welcome here.

Summer Schedule begins on June 4th

We will hold our last worship service of the spring on Sunday, May 28th.  Beginning in June those who can attend will meet in Hayden Hall for brief worship, prayer and fellowship.  Casual pot-luck goodies are welcome but not necessary.  Because of our limited numbers during the summer months this will be our summer plan.  We welcome all who can attend!

Upcoming Guest Musician – May 7th

On Sunday, May 7 Daniel Torres will treat us to some classical guitar magic. Daniel is a 23-year-old native of New Mexico. He will be attending ASU for a double Master’s degree in Music program (voice and guitar) in the Fall of 2017.

Our Easter Music Program

John Good, a CCOV favorite, will return to help us celebrate Easter this year. John is not only a Celtic instrument specialist, but also a great story teller. His unique style and personality enhance the beauty and charm of the music of his native Wales.
